ANSWER: The Minnesota Department of Labor & Industry must license any individual engaged in the electrical contracting business or performing work as a Master Electrician or Journeyworker Electrician.

The Master Electrician exam consists of 80 multiple-choice questions. Test takers have 5.5 hours to complete the exam. The exam is open-book with authorized materials and computer-based.
